British Rations Heater - Tommy Cooker

Eager to cook up Yaffle or "Brew Up", but no one has prepared a cooking fire or brought a RSC Mess Section along? Willing to fight enemies to the death, but unwilling to risk life and limb on a suicidal Petrol Cooker? Never did get your issue of Solid Fuel Cookers?

Well, there is hope, lads!

Cook on the WW 2 version of the jelled fuel "Blackie Brand" Patent Tommy Cooker that has seen use from the Sudan of the 1880’s, on through the Trenches of WW1 to the Blitzkrieg, and clear into today's British Army!

Our stoves feature the same sturdy simplicity of the originals!

The Cookers consist of a cooking ring that sits on the fuel container and is extremely lightweight. The fuel tins themselves contain sufficient fuel for 6 hours of continual operation, enough to heat tea water for even the most fashionable regiment!

Each cooker comes with a tin of jelled fuel. While these may have contained all sorts of hazardous material during the war, these cookers can be operated in all conditions, even indoors, without any health risks, as they burn jelled alcohol fuel.

These will support a mess kit half full of Steak and Kidney, or a P44 Canteen cup full of boiling tea. When we ran out of fuel on one grueling occasion, we used twigs and waxed cardboard from K-Ration boxes and brewed up quite successfully!

Sorry - the revolver is not included, offered, or available.

PRICE: $17.95

British WW II Tommy Cooker Fuel

Don’t come up short of fuel when it’s time to brew a morning cuppa – these spare fuel containers are light, compact, and provide the same three-hour burn time as the original that came with your cooker.

While the label and container are exact replicas of the WW II product, the fuel inside is a clean, modern gel fuel that is safe to use indoors or out. It’s easily lit, hot burning, and turns your Tommy Cooker into an efficient field stove.

Order several, as they have a long shelf life.

This early war version comes with a buff label, with dates ranging from 1939 to the early 1940's.
